I'm here to make bookkeeping easy for you

I'm passionate about bookkeeping.

I truly believe that accurate bookkeeping serves as the foundation of every business. Without reliable data, any business analysis would falter and making informed business decision would be impossible.

And what is essential for having reliable data? A proficient bookkeeper.

My goal is to dispel the confusion around the complexity of bookkeeping and I want to help you do bookkeeping efficiently on a super high level with ease.

How did I get here?

It's been quite a journey, my friends

1999

Landed my first bookkeeping job at a large, traditional (aka: old-school) manufacturing company right after graduation. Because I wanted to work in a bank, I wasn't happy at all. However, I learnt something valuable here: how to reconcile accounts even if that takes weeks/months of investigating and digging through several years' files.

Just a reminder: this was in the "stone age" 😜, way before the era of cloud-storage and user friendly software stacks.

Newbie

2001

Began teaching accounting to credit analysts. I gained immense experience in simplifying weird accounting principles for those with non-accounting backgrounds.

2003

Created my first-ever digital course on Credit Risk Management. My main focus at the time was how businesses can improve their credit rating and credit worthiness.

First online course

2005

Created and held several in-person workshops for aspiring female entrepreneurs on how to set up a successful business and manage business financials without feeling overwhelmed.

2006

I have delved into financial controlling and business analysis for small and medium enterprises. What I've come to learn was that business owners most of the times do not have the correct set of financial information when making super critical business decisions.

My professional focus shifted to educating business owners on the importance of having meaningful accounts.

2009

Made significant decision: I left my 9-5 job, transitioned into freelance business consulting.

Oh, and I relocated from the capital city, Budapest, to a quiet small village, and began a family.

Leaping into the unknown

2011

My husband and I set up our first business together and started our beekeeping journey.

The most exciting part: we had tangible products to sell and face-to-face contact with our customers.

We were thriving. We were walking the talk. We implemented the business and financial strategies that I taught to service-based entrepreneurs into our product-based business, all while raising two kids.

New business

2019

Took a HUGE LEAP: moved to Australia with my family and started fresh all over again.

I pursued a Master of Accounting in a postgraduate school and also obtained a Cert IV in Bookkeeping to get my professional licence.

Leaping into the unknown - Part 2

2021

While working as a financial controller, I launched Bookkeeping Tutor and developed a digital course on mastering Xero accounting software.

Re-start

2023

In hindsight, this year was for personal growth.

Apart from being a financial controller, I was doing bookkeeping for multiple businesses and teaching bookkeeping in Xero for private clients.

However, I was on the brink of complete burnout. Fortunately, I was able to recognise the warning signs, and I began to search for my North Star. If you're keen, I wholeheartedly recommend Unlocking Your Potential with Dr Edith Eger. I have no affiliation, I genuinely admire her work and her method helped me immensely through tough times.

Finding my path

2024

I'm returning to my origins: I'm refocusing my energy on teaching bookkeeping and accounting. I'm keen to share my knowledge and expertise with aspiring and novice bookkeepers and bookkeeping students to make them fall in love with accounting.

Re-focus

Today

I simplify bookkeeping concepts and breaking down high-level theory into practical, easy-to-understand nuggets of wisdom.

I'd like to demonstrate to you that bookkeeping/accounting is a super logical, structured and organised system once you understand the basics.

Oh, and it's about time I shared a bit of personal info about myself, isn't it? 🤭
